Welll, if this doesnt show Catholic bigotry what does. I wonder if for an encore you mock Jews and gays as well!

** sluggabohn says: Don’t get your panties in a knot, Frank. When I see the Holy Roman Church of Gays and Jews purposefully, knowingly and consciously protecting it’s leaders who molest thousands of children over hundreds (thousands?) of years then I’ll give them equal billing. However, don’t forget that this is my blog so meanwhile have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.**

Jesus Christ gave us His One, Holy, and Catholic Apostolic Church to love and serve each other in order to help each other get to Heaven.
True, there have been bad clergy in a Holy Faith. There are more predators in any other walk of life you choose.

It is a shame to deny yourself the One, True Faith and Life Eternal because of some bad clergy. There are more and mostly good, holy, and wholesome men and women in the Catholic Church. I am sorry you are an angry person; that does not make you or your blog credible to those who pass through and read your posts. I will pray for you. I am sorry you are hurting in some way. May God have mercy and Bless you and lift the oppressive spirits that bind you to your anger and keep you so unhappy.

I do not think this is a reason to AVOID the church, so much as teach your children what priests can and cannot do to them. And keep an eye on those children as well. There are scandals and such, but so too in all politics.

Agree with all of the above. It’s easy to fly into a fit of hysteria and outrage when everyone else is doing it. Its a lot harder to look at the actual facts, and see that Pope Benedict XVI has worked really hard at uprooting this evil.

How fair would it be for me to accuse all anti-Catholics of being pedophiles just because some anti-Catholics molested young boys? It wouldn’t be. Its time to start ridding ourselves of unfair stereotypes.

This is funny. As a religious and theologically trained Catholic I shall take this with the humour with which it was intended. People in internetland take things too seriously. Thank you.

“There will be no peace on Earth until My Son’s Kingdom. I will crush every kingdom now standing and rock the earth off its foundation. I Yahweh will destroy every enemy to My throne, and who can stop Me? Who can turn back My anger? No one.” – Yahweh

Matthew 10:34 “Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

Exodus 15:3 “The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is His name.”

Yahweh, our God and Creator pours out His wrath upon mankind leading up to Armageddon. It is His will that you all know exactly where it is coming from.

You could make the same post about teachers, professional sports players, ministers of non-catholic churches, uncles, fathers, brothers and friends. Your fixation is rediculous. There are some bad men who became priests. There are some bad men who are not priests. We are more outraged when someone we respect molests a child of course, but on the news today in my small town in Michigan a teacher was sentenced and a highschool security guard was arrested on the same day for molesting the children in their care. You’ld probably get more support for a 10 reasons why kids shouldn’t go to school blog. Your attack of the Catholic Church is simply poor logic and disguised agenda.

That’s unfair. Priests can be good or bad, like all other jobs/walks of life. Asinine bigotry does nothing to help anyone.

Are the Catholic Priests really that bad? what’s causing them to be bad in your point of view? is it because of the doctrines or are their priests corrupt? what did you mean? by the way I’d like to share my blog: christianchinese.wordpress.com

I guess this comment clip is kind of indicative of your Christian State of Mind.

I think all you every mindful, righteous, church going Catholics should believe what ever makes you happiest about your church.
I also think mindful, and righteous Catholics best hold onto their purse strings when the old collection plates come around because your money is funding the largest cover up, and defense of child abuser in the world.
Believe what you want, just don’t give any congregation any of your money. Your just defending the sickos!

Did you know that the number one profession that sexually abuses children is teachers? Does that mean that students should avoid school? Probably not, otherwise we may have even more ignorant people in our world.

We are all sinners and those in the church who have hurt others will answer to God our Father. So too will those who perscute His Church. Let us pray for one another….

I think this is unfair statement. Not all Roman Catholic priests are pedophiles. It’s like saying that children should stay away from teachers, because there are many teachers who turn out to be pedophiles.

The percentage of Catholic priests who have have engaged in sexual abuse is less than 1% of the priesthood. So if you’re going to tell people to avoid priests, please have them avoid teachers, sports coaches, and parents, all of which have a higher percentage of abuse cases than the Catholic priesthood. Just food for thought. -www.orthodoxcatholicism.com
