“Pitbull Mauls 2, 3rd Fatality This Month”

Or: Typical Daily News

You can tell me all day long how sweet and gentle your pitbull is and how it would never hurt a fly. However, the now common reports of attacks by these vicious animals tells a different story.

I understand that many pitbull attacks (as well as those of other breeds) are often predicated by irresponsible or evil owners (like Michael Vicks). But I also read too often the words of parents crying over their dead or hospitalized child about how their dog had always been so gentle.

Today, I did a Google search for “pit bull attacks” and was handed 1,830,000 results. Thees results ranged from an old lady killed on a roadside, to a 2 year-old raped by a pitbull in his living room. I absorbed as much as I could stomach and present some of my findings to you.

Often owned by thugs, “gangsta’s”, and others of societies trash people; pitbulls are often bred and trained to be killers. But all too often, a decent families pet will revert back to what it was created for – killing.

Pitbulls are descended from the old English “bulldogge” which were crossed with any of the popular and powerful terriers of the day producing a game, powerful, agile, and smaller, more capable opponent in the dog pits.

To quote Carl Semencic, author of several informative books on guard dogs, and a big pit-bull fan:

To preserve the bull-and-terrier’s pugnacious traits,  the dogs were bred only to dogs of the same cross. Thus was born the pit-bull terrier, “the most capable fighting dog known to modern man”.

However, the pit bull’s unusual breeding history has produced some bizarre behavioral traits, according to The Economist‘s science editor in an article published a few years ago. According to this article, the pit bull is quicker to anger than most dogs, possibly due to the breed’s unusually high level of the neurotransmitter L-tyrosine.

Secondly, pit bulls are frighteningly tenacious; their attacks frequently last for 15 minutes or longer, and nothing—hoses, violent blows or kicks—can easily stop them.

This is because of the third behavioral anomaly: the breed’s remarkable insensitivity to pain. Most dogs beaten in a fight will submit the next time they see the victor. Not a defeated pit bull, who will tear into his onetime vanquisher. This, too, has to do with brain chemistry. The body releases endorphins as a natural painkiller. Pit bulls seem extra-sensitive to endorphins and may generate higher levels of the chemical than other dogs. Endorphins are also addictive: “The dogs may be junkies, seeking pain so they can get the endorphin buzz they crave.”

Stephen Zawistowski, ASPCA advisor and animal geneticist, says that most dogs warn you before they attack, growling or barking to tell you how angry they are—”so they don’t have to fight,” not the pitbull, which attacks without warning. Also, other dogs will bow to signal that they want to play. But again, not the pit bull, it often follows a playful bow with a deadly assault.

Merritt Clifton (editor of Animal People) conducted a detailed study of dog bites between 1982 and 2006. (Clifton, Dog attack deaths and maimings, U.S. & Canada, September 1982 to November 13, 2006.) Clifton’s study presents numbers of serious canine-inflicted injuries by breed. His results are worth noting.

According to the Clifton study, pitbulls, rottweilers, presa canarios and their mixes are responsible for 74% of attacks that were included in the study, 68% of the attacks upon children, 82% of the attacks upon adults, 65% of the deaths, and 68% of the maimings. In more than two-thirds of the cases included in the study, the life-threatening or fatal attack was apparently the first known dangerous behavior by the animal in question.

Clifton says,

Pit bulls and Rottweilers are accordingly dogs who not only must be handled with special precautions, but also must be regulated with special requirements appropriate to the risk they may pose to the public and other animals, if they are to be kept at all.

It is time to either ban pitbulls and other dangerous breeds or hold owners, breeders and dealers legally responsible when a person is attacked or killed. People need to be charged with homicide and imprisoned, regardless of how peaceful they considered their monster.

I leave you with a chilling remark from Merritt Clifton:

If almost any other dog has a bad moment, someone may get bitten, but will not be maimed for life or killed, and the actuarial risk is accordingly reasonable. If a pit bull terrier or a Rottweiler has a bad moment, often someone is maimed or killed–and that has now created off-the-chart actuarial risk, for which the dogs as well as their victims are paying the price.

ok. whatever, for the millions of pits in the world, only a tiny percentage of them have attacked. and what about the millions of them that havent???i know so many people who have been bitten severely by german shepards, dobermans, and labs, and chows!and i know personally a child attacked by a cocker spaniel without being provoked, should we ban those too?that cocker spaniel attack on my friends child didnt even make the news! oh no! but let it have been a pitbull and it would have been in the news, in the paper, and blown out of proportion!!! we were not there, and dont know the whole situation, but no dog just turns on their owner, unless there was some underlying medical problem, or was mistreated! if you abused an animal or did something you shouldnt have done, and then the animal attacked you, you wouldnt tell the media, oh yes i abused and hit my dog, i guess thats why he bit me… no, you would say, i dont know it has always been nice and it turned. BS. pits are great dogs! god didnt make some freak of nature that just does weird stuff like that! no, its JUST A DOG. love them and they will love you back! a dog is a dog, they are all unpredictable if you think about it! but if you go around trying to ban peoples dogs for biting and attacking, then definitely dont leave out poms, chihuahuas, german shepards, akitas, and many others too! because what about responsible pit owners? why make us suffer for irresponsible owners? thats not right! and by the way, not just thugs and white trash own pits! you obviously havent researched that either because many famous people own pits, and i am not white trash, or a thug. and yes i own a pitbull!and i know many many others that do, and i have never known any pit that is treated right to bite anyone!

  • 3. julie  |  October 15, 2007 at 6:41 pm

check out this website… pitbulllovers.com… it tells the truth about why the attacks occur. 9 times out of 10, the media is not telling all of the facts!

  • 4. julie  |  October 15, 2007 at 6:46 pm

According to the American Canine Temperament Testing Association, 82.5%of the American Pit Bull Terriers that took the temperament test passed, compared to a 77% passing rate for all breeds on average. In the test a dog is placed in a series of confrontational situations. The first sign of aggression or panic is a failure of the test. Pit Bulls have achieved the fourth highest passing rate of all 122 breeds tested.
It is estimated that there are 60,000 Pit Bulls in the City of Chicago alone. This number is so high because people are breeding them for the wrong reasons. Most of them are living in hostile surroundings. It is an amazing testimony to the breed that although 95% of these animals suffer abuse/neglect, we rarely hear of any problems. One analogy is, if there was a sudden increase of people being injured by red cars, would we ban red cars? No! common sense would dictate that red is more popular color choice.
Dog fighting is the number one abuse towards animals in an urban environment. This is why when you watch Animal Precinct on Animal Planet , almost every arrest made involves cruelty towards pit bulls. Read the article Betting on Cruelty that shows the connection between animal abuse and crime.

“Its time people stop closing their eyes to the source of the problem start to face the reality. The pain you see in the eyes of the dogs IS the sad reality of too many Pit Bulls

  • 5. julie  |  October 15, 2007 at 7:08 pm

Pit bulls do carry a terrible stigma, and we’ll get to the reasons why in a minute. For the moment, put your preconceptions aside and read this description provided by the United Kennel Club—one of the most-respected authorities on dog breeds:

“The essential characteristics of the American Pit Bull Terrier are strength, confidence, and zest for life. This breed is eager to please and brimming over with enthusiasm. APBTs make excellent family companions and have always been noted for their love of children. Because most APBTs exhibit some level of dog aggression and because of its powerful physique, the APBT requires an owner who will carefully socialize and obedience train the dog…The APBT is not the best choice for a guard dog since they are extremely friendly, even with strangers. Aggressive behavior toward humans is uncharacteristic of the breed and highly undesirable. This breed does very well in performance events because of its high level of intelligence and its willingness to work.

Eager to please? Extremely friendly? Noted for their love of children? Yes, that’s the real pit bull!

**sluggabohn says: Yeah, Julie. I see the news reports everyday about how much they love children… old people… babies… anyone they can catch. Apparently you missed the first line of my post. I wrote it first so as to save us both time. I will repeat it here: “You can tell me all day long how sweet and gentle your pitbull is and how it would never hurt a fly. However, the now common reports of attacks by these vicious animals tells a different story.” If you’re lovely dog sets foot onto MY property, I will WILL pierce its brain with a 62 grain, full-metal jacketed, 5.56mm, Israeli made, armor piercing round moving at a speed of approximately 914 meters per second. ’nuff said**

  • 6. julie  |  October 20, 2007 at 4:14 pm

your a damn moron! look at the facts they cant lie!!! there are more german shepard bites than pitbull attacks! and you or any other idiot like yourself wouldnt even get the pleasure of meeting my dog, because i am a responsible pit owner! and it sais alot in itself about the breed when they are living in horrible conditions and stiil just want love from people! and i will say it again! YOU ARE A DAMN MORON! dont bother commenting back because I dont argue with bullheaded people who dont know anything about the breed, yet want to rant and rave on the subject!!!!

  • 7. julie  |  October 20, 2007 at 4:17 pm

oh and in my opinion, only a real man can handle the love and loyalty a pitbull has to offer! maybe thats why you dont like them!! just a thought! lol

  • 8. julie  |  October 20, 2007 at 4:50 pm

my goal is to disprove the rampant stereotype given to only the best of mans best friend! to anyone else who doesnt like the breed. do some research and you will see that though they look intimidating, they are big softhearted goofballs. and not a day goes by that i havent laughed hysterically because of something really goofy she did. GIVE A PITBULL A CHANCE! they are gods creatures and they need love too! its wierd how if they are so vicious, how can my pit coexist w/ a chihuahua? that is enough said right there. i thought pitbulls were just mankillers and dogfighters. nope, its all how you treat them! anyone who comes to my house better watch out because my chihuahua will eat you alive, while my pitbull will lick you to death!

The Top Reasons Why You Can’t Trust Vicious Pit Bulls

    10. They will steal your spot on the couch while you are up getting a soda.

    9. They will take the treat you give them and bury in the back yard like a paranoid crack head hiding their stash.

    8. They will jump on your bed with muddy feet. Making you do laundry…again

    7. They will lick visitors with an uncontrolled passion only they understand.

    6. They will cause children to smile.

    5. They will make you feel horrible for not walking them by looking at you with deep sad eyes.

    4. They will look at you like you committed a crime against them if you don’t let them lick your ice cream bowl.

    3. They will cause wide spread happiness in large group settings.

    2. They will crack you up by shaking their butts so hard you think they are going to snap in half.

And the number one reason why you can’t trust vicious Pit Bulls…

    1. They will steal your heart like a thief in the night, showing you complete and pure love that only a Pit Bull can show.

** sluggabohn says: lol! julie I think maybe you “love” your pitbull a little too much, if you get my drift. You know, I think that’s illegal in most states! You are infatuated with your dog so much that it appears you worship it as a god. And you say I don’t have a life?! HA! Why don’t you step away from your keyboard, take a deep breath, maybe pour a couple glasses of wine for you and your dog, and have a romantic evening together in front of the fireplace.
Also, you say that I did not do my research (which of course I did to get the statistics I printed) but I noticed in my admin page that you did not follow a single link that I provided to back up my research. Afraid of what you might find? You’d better be!**

“According to this article, the pit bull is quicker to anger than most dogs, possibly due to the breed’s unusually high level of the neurotransmitter L-tyrosine.”
Okay, first of all, L-tyrosine is not a neurotransmitter, it is an amino acid. It is given as a supplement to humans to enhance feelings of well being, so how in the world would a high level of it make anyone or anything quick to anger? Where is your cite for the article? And how does a science editor from a publication from the economist know this? Did he do a study of pitbull brains?

  • 11. A.A.P.T  |  January 11, 2008 at 8:53 pm

Okay I’m sorry but I have to disagree with you. You know I get over 10,000,000 results when I google my own name. And probably about 5% of what the media says is true. If media told the whole truth nobody would watch so of course they are going to throw things up to make people upset and want to do something. Some stores are even 100% FALSE!! And yes owners are the reason pits attack. They either trane them to attack, abuse them, or some other form of cruelty. Pits are at the top of the most loveable dog breed. When the people talk about how the dog was so gentel and just turned its due to probably irritation rather the dog is sick an not treated OR you bug it to the point it has no other choice. I’ve been around pits sense I was born. I have never NEVER seen or heard of a pit turning on someone just for no reason. The reason pits are having so many problems these days is because of uneducated people like yourself trying to “study” and make up “scientific” results.

And my comment on the ordeal with Pits is speciesim is just as bad as the rest of them. And as them I mean Sexism, Rascism…etc.

  • 12. Cameron (Memphis pitbull save haven)  |  January 11, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Please, remember when reading stories about pit bulls, that most of the people writting these stories no nothing about the breed, or the torment they have been put threw. Yes, there have been numerous attacks. As a pit bull fan, I have a hard time saying this, but yes, if trained to be human aggressive, they will be.
As humans, how can we be ignorant enough, to put blame on something as simple, as a dog. Americans tend to ruin anything they dont understand. We have stereotyped this dog to the point, that shelters refuse to even try to place these wonderful dogs in homes. My girlfriend and I bring in worst case pit bulls. Highly aggressive, and abused, neglected, and mistreated. In the last year, we have brought in close to 20 pits, and yet to have seen any sign of aggressive behavior towards us, or children. Some have been highly aggressive towards other dogs, but that isnt just common with this breed. Please before you make a statement about this breed of dog, educate yourself. If everyone only believed everything they read, well, this country would be filled with uneducated, mislead people.
Take the time to go to your local shelter, talk to rescue groups, and spend time with a pitbull. Educate yourselves, and stop being so easily mislead by media hype. There are statistics for everyone read, and links to pages that show proof backing up those tests. Take the time to research areas where pit bull attacks have happened, and I promise you will see that most of the dogs involved in this sort of situation, have been abused, mistreated, and neglected. If someone treated me the way these dogs have been treated, I would bite them to.
Have a heart, and please quit feeding fuel to the fire, by helping to worsen the already tarnished opinion on this wonderful breed. If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask me.

  • 13. Jennifer  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:03 pm

I am sorry that you have failed to see the gentle nature of both the pit bull and the rottweiler. Yes, pit bulls were initially bred to fight, however, not to be aggressive toward humans. This behavior was NEVER tolerated, and the dogs that developed these human aggressive behaviors were destroyed! There are many sites that explain this along with why pit bull types are involved in more “attacks” than other breeds.

I am the proud owner of a 3 year old, 117 pound, male rottweiler named Icco, and a 4 year old, 55 pound, male pit bull mix named Flash. I also have 5 cats and am a single mother of 2 boys, now ages 8 and 11. Icco and Flash are inseparable, and my boys love them to pieces! Not once has either of them even done so much as a slight growl. I can take a bone right out of either of their mouths, and they’ll just follow me around, looking at me like “why’d you take it away mommy?”

I am so glad I live in a state where BSL is banned. People like you can complain to their heart’s content, but we’ve actually got a law banning BSL! How ’bout that? Last year, we were looking into moving to Tennessee, lol, our decision was made when I looked further into the BSL going on there.

I think you need to read up on your history again of what pit bulls use to do and how they got their name!!! There strength was needed to take down bulls in the 1800’s which no other dogs could and the people who say that they have been bitten I bet you half of them were not pits, there are other breeds that people get confused about with a quick glance. Even at the animal shelters if it looks like a pit it must be one.

  • 16. Cameron (Memphis pitbull save haven)  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:25 pm

Your comment made to Julie, telling her to have a romantic night with her dog, shows just how childish, and uneducated you really are. She is a friend of ours, and you are lucky to have someone as educated as she is about this topic talking to you. If you would take the time, shut up, and listen, you might actually learn something. Ignorant bastard!!!

  • 17. Krystle(Memphis pitbull save haven)  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:28 pm

i IF YOUR WHITE ASS sets foot onto MY property, I WILL pierce YOUR brain with a 62 grain, full-metal jacketed, 5.56mm, Israeli made, armor piercing round moving at a speed of approximately 914 meters per second. and maybe if your lucky enough one of my 10 PIT BULLS will come to help you, and maybe if im lucky they will lick your uneducated ass to death!

  • 18. Krystle(Memphis pitbull save haven)  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:32 pm

Ok, now that I got that out of the way,

With in the past year we have brought in over 20 pit bulls, mostly males, with aggression problems, that we have found nearly bleeding to death or starved to death after a peice of shit human drops them off because they didnt win a fight.

Our most Aggressive case was with a pit bull we named fathead.

So if you have any question, I am sure the people here at memphis pit bull safe haven, or Julie, would be more then happy to help you understand that really, it is not the breed.

As of right now i just see you as an Uneducated racist.
    now your labeled!

  • 19. Kandice  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:35 pm

Well here it goes! If you had done proper research on the breed you would have seen that although this breed in considered a “fighting dog” they were never trained to bite any human in the pit. There are many accounts of “dangerous pit fighters” being euthanized because what good is a fighting dog if you cant pull him off the other dog? This is a breed that is NOT for everyone. It takes a true love for the breed because of ignorance as stated above… My nephews have been raised around my dogs, I was raised around Pit Bulls..and I was eventually attacked by a Beagle. I love how every dog that attacks a child is a Pit Bull.. I dont think the attack by the Yorkie a few years ago ever made CNN but I see all kinds of dogs labeled as Pit Bulls or Pit Mixes… How are we gonna tell our future generations that these are really great dogs that have just been placed in the wrong hands.. I refuse to allow my children to know the Pit Bull as an extinct breed. How are we gonna tell our children not to “judge a book by its cover” and not to be racist… Look what the media and people with a fear and ignorance of the breed are doing to them….

  • 20. Krystle(Memphis pitbull save haven)  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:36 pm

You are correct in saying the breed has high tolerance for pain, However i ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE with you when you said that “pit bulls are frighteningly tenacious; their attacks frequently last for 15 minutes or longer, and nothing—hoses, violent blows or kicks—can easily stop them.”

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO, is hover over the dog being attacked, and the other will stop, OR if their are TWO DOGS FIGHTING, and TWO people AROUND, ONE PICK EACH DOG UP!! wow

  • 21. Staci  |  January 11, 2008 at 9:55 pm

I’m going to have to agree with Julie on this one. ALL dogs bite. ALL dogs can kill. We don’t judge the entire breed of Pomeraninans based of the error of a few. Why should Pit Bulls and Rottweilers be any different? (A 10 Lbs Pomeranian killed a baby a few years ago… Obviously a problem with that particular dog, not the breed. “The baby’s uncle left the infant and the dog on a bed while the uncle prepared her bottle in the kitchen. Upon his return, the dog was mauling the baby, who died shortly afterwards. -“Baby Girl Killed by Family Dog,” Los Angeles Times, Monday, October 9, 2000, Home Edition, Metro Section, Page B-5.”- JUST THE DEED….NOT THE BREED. Pit Bulls have one of te highest passing precentages in Temperment Testings. In 2007 MOST dog attacks in this area were caused becasue of a lack of supervision of children. BAD PARENTING. First Pitt Bulls, then Rottweilers, Chows, Dobermans….the list will just keep going. Breen Specifics aren’t going to get you any where. ALL dogs have the potential to kill.

  • 23. Nuphar  |  January 11, 2008 at 10:06 pm

Are you really this stupid? What’s funny is that I had a (female) Pit Bull and she was attacked twice by a German Shephard. Once she recieved a deep cut across her nose and the second time and even deeper one on her side and what do you think she did in return?…….ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I fixed her up and she went right back to go play with that German Shephard.
Like every other comment on here I will say the same….
there are plenty of other animals, such as Chihuahua’s that are way more tenacious and violent towards children that there are Pit Bulls.
And you mention an Israeli gun, I don’t know if your Israeli or what but if you are then you are just a DISGRACE to my people! So I hope your not!
IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY is why the world is the way it is! If more people realized that this world would be a better place!
So SHUT UP cause you have NO idea what the hell your talking about!

  • 24. Lady  |  January 11, 2008 at 10:08 pm

If you have never owned a pit, which clearly you have not, otherwise you would be much more educated on the breed as well as so many others, then your arguments might pull more weight. But for someone just speaking out of the side of their neck and relying on information you obtained on the internet, your words hold no weight. How much false information is reported every single day about any and everything? How much does the media over exaggerate to make their stories more appealing, ESPECIALLY when it comes to pit bulls?? Do yourself a favor and rescue a pit bull, foster one for a month, get some interaction with the breed and then speak your opinions. For you to state that this breed is often owned by thugs, gangsters and society’s trash… wow. You are a real class act yourself aren’t you?

  • 25. Julie Perry  |  January 11, 2008 at 10:48 pm

wow. sluggabohn all i did, was message my pitbull group of friends, and they came with a strong response!!! alot of them are at work or something right now, but im sure youll be getting alot of comments on your site in the next couple of days!!!! more action than your website has ever saw huh?

WOW all on a google search huh?? If you try hard enough you can find anything to support your idiotic thinking on the INTERNET..and your other source is the MEDIA ,Your an idiot people like you should not breed YOUR kind of thinking is what’s wrong with this world. I CANNOT FATHOM any of what you have posted to be a proven fact especially about the raped 2 year old you really are retarded if you believe that I’ve got some beach property in Las Vegas to sell you.. UNTIL YOU HAVE HARD CORE EVIDENCE meaning OTHER THAN THE INTERNET AND THE MEDIA you need to SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT any ANIMALs and you should not be allowed to have any either. Did your mom have any kids that lived? Cuz something that ugly had to have been aborted…

  • 28. Mandy  |  January 12, 2008 at 1:55 am

PS, I have owned 2 Rottweilers and a rescued Pitt (Best f*ucking dogs in the world ) guess what Asshole 12 years later I’m still alive, you really are uneducated scum, It’s funny that you say only thugs and criminals own these, I notice you don’t have one hmmmm

  • 29. Julie Perry  |  January 12, 2008 at 4:10 am

just 1 more observation i made. you convienently deleted the comment i made to you a couple of months ago where i said your a child molester with too much time on your hands, didnt you? oh yes, you dont want to let anyone see that comment, heh?

  • 30. Sara  |  January 12, 2008 at 5:06 am

Are you kidding me? Seriously, spend your time on something else…jump off your soap box. If you don’t like pitbulls, don’t get one… ? You get to make that choice, you are a big boy. All animals and people are potentially dangerous given the right enviornment….

And a child raped by a pitbull? How about a child raped by their father? That happens more often….Infact, lets take a look at the number of accidents and attacks that also occur. Get over yourself. You think that you have come to some brilliant conclusion. Congratulations, you have an oppinnion. Try to do something positive with it instead of bitching. No one cares if you don’t like pitbull, no one asked you. And when I walk down the street with my pitbull, you don’t need to be scared of her, you need to be scared of me. I hate stupid people 🙂 please get fixed so we don’t have more of you……

  • 31. You're A Loser Sluggabohn!  |  January 12, 2008 at 8:13 am

Often owned by thugs, ”gangsta’s”, and others of societies trash people; ….

This bothers me, as I have 2 APBT’s. I am not ‘trash’, ‘gangsta’ or a ‘thug’… and neither are any of my friends/relatives who have them. I am well educated and a productive member of society yet I MUST be ‘trash’ because I have APBT’s?!?!

I agree ‘trash’, ‘thugs’ & ‘gangsta’s’ do own them as well, but this is not the only breed being DESTROYED!! There are Doberman’s, German Shepard’s, Rottweiler’s and Chow’s that are being treated with just as much dis-respect, yet, no one wants to hear about that… no one want to defend that… and no one wants to make a fucking website about a different breed.

And here is why, Pit bull’s freighten people (uneducated about the breed). People enjoy the story of a child being ‘mauled’ when in fact the child only has a small cut on their finger from a nip they got after trying to ride the dog while the PARENTS weren’t supervising!! (now who’s fault do you think that was?)

You’re uneducated. That’s really all there is to it. You get all of your so-called ‘facts’ from other breed-bashing websites. Go visit an abused Pit Bull in a shelter, one who has no idea what love or compassion is… then walk down a few kennels to a Chihuahua and see which one bites your hand and which one licks your hand. Then write some real facts.

  • 32. Pete  |  January 12, 2008 at 9:52 pm

Look man…I understand that you have something against these beautiful and great dogs. The fact remains….you suck at life. How can you be making such outlandish generalizations? I, personally, have been attacked by dogs before and never once has it been a pitbull. Chows, dobermans, rottwielers, even my parents beloved daschund have all bitten me. I’ve been around pits all my life and never ONCE have they bitten me. Its all in the owner man….when you get a pup, you have a chance at turning that dog into the dog you want by training them the way they’re supposed to be trained. The problems lie therein. You can’t beat the shit out of your dog and expect it to never retailiate. Thats what it comes down to. Kicking a dogs ass=you getting your ass kicked eventually.

Don’t make statements and claims about how pitbulls are vicious and evil dogs when in fact it might just be you, the owner, who is the evil one. Get off their nuts.

Apparently this guys job is to insult Pitt Bull and Rottweiler Owners while ruining their reputations. I was reading what other said and I heard a horrible noise outside. My neighbor was tormenting my Rottweiler. He was teasing her and telling his German Shepard to attack…..Hmm? I guess that’s okay because he doesn’t own a “vicious breed”. When when you realize that it’s bad ownership that leads to bad dogs? Any dogs can be danagerous, in certain environments. Punush the irresponsible owners.

Simple question..do you own any dog? I’ve been attacked by my cat more then by my best friends pit. My best friend has two newborns around her pits and they have never once even barked at her newborns. My brother in law was mauled over and had a gash taken out of the back of his leg by a Sheperd. Not a pit. My friend in Ga was attacked by a pincher and had to have 17 stitches in her hand. Not a pit. I have not heard of any attack by a pit by anyone I truely know. I’ve seen stories, I’ve heard rumors, but I have never once met someone person to person who has themself been attacked by a pit. Maybe you should stop attacking one breed of animal. Actualy maybe you should walk outside your front door and notice there is a world out there full of more then uneducated guesses about how it works. How about spending some time somewhere besides infront of your computer. You might learn something one day

F.Y.I…..stupid is what stupid does, and the ONLY thing you would have to worry about if you were near my pits is them getting a hold of your BIG ASS FRISBEE LOOKIN’ EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do all the research in the world, you can act like the detective you’re trying to be but at the end of the day all that information you think you know doesn’t boil down to how much you know about this breed. Did you know that Michael Vicks dogs are in traing and all their trainers said they couldn’t be doing better and how much they’ve learned now that they are cared for the correct way? Or maybe that child that was attacked had one of the dogs toys teasing this dog, any parent that would leave their child alone with ANY dog is uneducated obviously every dog LOVER (unlike you) would know not to do this. You just like every other hypocrite obviously have never been around a pit bull let alone known someone with one. Am I right? That’s what I thought. So maybe you can do your homeowork tonight and stop talking shit about a breed you obviously don’t know anything about, go to a shelter and ask to visit with one of these dogs let me know what you think about them then…I say you’ll fall in love unless your heartless which it sounds like you are, alond with boring, nerdy and oh yeah uneducated trash? That’s so typical for someone like you to say that only trash, low income or ‘gangstas’ own pit bulls. Well let me make something clear to you I am not “trash, uneducated by any means or a gangsta” haha, I own 2 pit bulls yeah 2, I live on my own, work and am a full time student talk about trash huh? Oh did i mention my apartment is not LOW INCOME? Talk about stereo typical. Well have fun doing all the research in the world on pit bulls, counting all your ratios and percenteges but at the end of the day we all know your a lonely probably middle aged loser with hardly any friends maybe the occasional neighbor that says hi to you. Well have a nice day I am going to go play with my pit bulls!

Just like Krystle said… If your UGLY, WHITE HONKY, CHILD MOLESTING ASS ever sets foot onto MY property, I WILL pierce YOUR brain with a 62 grain, full-metal jacketed, 5.56mm, Israeli made, armor piercing round moving at a speed of approximately 914 meters per second. But I on the other hand would not dare let my dogs lick your face oh yeah and did you know your daddy and your uncle are the same man>? looks like it!

You have got to be the most obtuse individual on this planet! C’mon w/ this ” Endorphins are also addictive: “The dogs may be junkies, seeking pain so they can get the endorphin buzz they crave.” Are you serious? These are dogs, canines. It’s humans that are seeking the ‘endorphin buzz’. Humans premeditate everything, not dogs. Get w/ the program & recognize what you are falsifying, you idiot!

I can’t believe all of this chaos! If you don’t like pitbulls then just don’t get one. We need to be using our energy on what is going to help these guys-not fighting with people that don’t matter.

sluggabohn – What drugs are you on. Just keep your ignorant mouth shut. Once you know more than a pit bull rescuer, and have more experience with the breed, then you can talk. I have been around hundreds of pit bulls, and am I still alive and in one piece?? I have never even had one attempt to bite me, but a cocker spaniel has, and a dachshund, and a golden retriever. Check out the American tempermant testing association statistics, if you so into that.

for all of you who are for pitts and saying how great they are, well what about all the people ( KIDS ) killed by these evil animals. if you people are so in to statistics why don’t you just read the paper or something and read about people getting killed by their own pit bulls that they’ve had for years. here are just some of the articals i’ve read: june 19, 2008 pit bull in greensburg chews off owners arm, april 17, 2008 pit bull attack puts owner in the hospital, 1/23/08 Kelli Chapman killed by two pit bulls, and what about Seth Lovitt an 11-year old boy that was running throw his house and his pit jumpped off the sofa an bite him in the neck and killed him. so tonight while you are sleeping next to your pit think about that!!! and mayb about that women that was killed in her sleep by her pit. i will be damned if i listen to you idiots saying them damn dogs are good animals. to many childern have been killed i think thses dogs should be put down and wipped out all to gether.

SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!! Geez, how Retarded can you possibly BEEE?? Please don’t be mad you ILLITERATE BASTARD!- just because you know that Pits are LoyaL, Loving Pets and that your Scary, ChilD Molesting Ass has to think twice about attacking a victim with a pit as a pet because they will give their life for their owner- especially against harmful perverts such as yourself..

I was a Pit skeptic myself at one point, this I admit- however, my husband loves the breed and I thought I would NeVeR bring one around my kids due to the Garbage the media feeds but upon doing my research after falling completely in love with our recent rescue, “Nala” am completely convinced that they are GREAT pets so long as they have Loving owners (just like any other Dog) and they are as loyal as they come, they put the EF in BFF and EF you up if you EF with my family LOL! whoops thats My husband not my dog! tee hee hee …. Anyhoo, please visit the links below 🙂

*The following link is a good way of testing you knowledge. Most attacks by dogs labeled as pit attacks, are in fact not. The media and any links that your jack ass has ” researched ” on, will report attacks by any of the breeds in the link below, to be a pit. next time you run your mouth really do know what your talking about. From what I have read you’re the one people should be scared of, with your talk of guns and rape. maybe we should start to profile YOU!!
